Like many who find their way to Central Texas, Bev arrived in the area with the assistance of the Army in 1992. For the first time in her life, she lived in a house for longer than three and a half years. Widely traveled and schooled along the way, she put down roots deep into the rocky Texas soil. She attended A&M University as a third generation Aggie and after graduation, worked as an interpretive ranger in several national parks including Yellowstone for the National Park Service. Bev joined ROTC when she went back to college at New Mexico State University, and was commissioned as an Army engineer. She served with topographic, construction, and combat engineers in West Germany as well as at the Engineer School at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. After eleven years and following Desert Storm, she left the service voluntary while stationed at Fort Hood and taught for several years as a sixth grade science teacher in Copperas Cove. Exposed to traditions and customs of many foreign cultures and regions of the United States, Bev developed an wide range of eclectic interests. Massage and aromatherapies were two she waited until later in life to fully develop. A licensed massage therapist, she has certifications in Hot Stone Massage, Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Temple Massage, Reiki, Bio Touch and Foot Reflexology. She is also certified to teach water aerobics for the Arthritis Foundation. Bev's wide range of experience of entertaining & being entertained, allows her to assist you in planning and hosting the event, party, or wedding of your dreams with panache' but keeping costs at a mimimum. Bev is separated and has a son at A&M. |
